SPEAKERS: Mel Seesholtz, Ph.D.
Mel Seesholtz holds a Ph.D. in literary and linguistic theory and is professor of English at Penn State Abington. He will present an informative and provocative lecture to address the issue of religion as a target for theopolitics via the use of religious beliefs to justify denying gay and lesbian Americans’ civil equality in relation to housing, employment and marriage. The other major target of theopolitics to be addressed is science, particularly the theory of evolution.
